ABOUT THE FILM

The Gift is a profile documentary that follows the story of Nancy Dinar, a mother of two boys who seem different than the boys of their ages. For years, their journey was marked by frustration—misunderstood abilities, underachievement, endless research, and repeated consultations with doctors and educators. What appeared to be a search for answers slowly revealed a deeper realization: the problem was not the children, but the support system around them.

Through years of studying the nature of gifted children, Nancy recognized a hard truth: gifted education in Indonesia remains limited. This realization pushed her to take action—setting out to build a pathway where gifted children can be supported, understood, and prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.
