About the event:
Indonesia, the 4th most populated country in the world, is an archipelago with more than 76% body of water surrounding 18,000 islands.
On August 18, 2019, one day after the 74th commemoration of the Indonesian Independence thousands of people gather in 108 locations all across the country performing beach cleanup. This photographic documentation covers one of the locations with the hopes to bring forth the issue of the waste that we generate and how it is affecting the nature that we live in.
