With decades of experience as a psychologist, what truly sets Rani apart is her relentless curiosity - an openness to the unknown shaped by her exploration of cultures, religions, and spirituality. This breadth of insight allows her to see people not in isolation, but in relation to the worlds they inhabit.

Her work is grounded in a holistic vision: one that believes personal healing can illuminate society as a whole.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES:

The goal of this project was to articulate what she wanted to convey as a couples counselor. Since she is not an “ordinary” psychologist, the production of this film was extremely heavy on the research that included discussion with the subject, full attendance to one of her workshops, conversations with her counterparts, including research on her contents on social media.

The project was seen through different perspectives, and after rigorous sifting of ideas, the narrative was completed.

After Rani’s voice was recorded, drawing from the practices and my learning of her, the vision for the short film is created. AI technology is used to generate and animate due to the nature of anonymity of this story.
